Verdion, Europe’s specialist logistics and industrial investor has completed a new 290,635 sq ft (27,000 sq m) Grade A logistics facility for BMW at Verdion Logistics Park, Malmö, Southern Sweden.
The €20 million new, built-to-suit, Grade A logistics facility will be used to store car and motorcycle parts for the German luxury car manufacturer.
Verdion Logistics Park, where the facility is located, is a 20 acre (8 hectare) logistics site on the edge of the town of Staffanstorp, just outside Malmö City.
Positioned at a junction of Highway 11, the site provides a direct connection to Malmö and Copenhagen, which it links to via the Öresund Bridge. Its location in Southern Sweden also provides the logistics park with easy access to other Swedish and European cities.
André Banschus, Verdion’s Executive Director, comments: “We are pleased to have delivered this site in partnership with world-leading BMW, a result of our proactive development strategy and logistical expertise within key European markets. The Malmö Logistics Park is one of several European locations where Verdion is deploying its technical knowledge to suit our customer’s specialist needs.”
