Verdion has leased a further 10,000 sq m distribution centre at Verdion Airpark Berlin to logistics company Dachser SE.
The deal allows Dachser to expand its food and industrial logistics warehousing capacity in the Berlin-Brandenburg region and follows the company’s decision to take around 5,000 sq m of new space in 2016 as part of Verdion Airpark Berlin’s first phase.
The speculatively-built distribution centre is highly energy-efficient. It has nine loading bays, a floor load capacity of 50 kN/m² and office and communal areas.
André Banschus, Managing Director of Verdion in Germany, said: “We are very pleased to be able to further expand our collaboration with our partner Dachser. Verdion Airpark Berlin’s location is a particular draw for occupiers – at the moment there is no logistics development closer to the city centre, and being within 30 minutes of Central Berlin is an enormous advantage.”
In total, the park has an area of 80,000 sq m, with other tenants including the food delivery service Bringmeister; metal industry company PUK; DÜRKOP GmbH, a spare parts supplier for branded garages, and Streiff & Helmold, a rail transport service provider.
Verdion Airpark Berlin is located directly on the B96a. Access to the A113 Autobahn, which connects the Berliner Stadtring (A110) and the Berliner Ring (A10), is only two kilometres away. Schönefeld and Berlin-Brandenburg Airports are both within a ten-kilometre radius.
