Verdion strengthens Nordics commitment with senior technical hires

Verdion has underscored its commitment to the Nordics region with two further senior technical team hires. The appointments are part of a Europe-wide move to reinforce the investor, developer and asset manager’s capability as its development and investment pipeline grows.

Jacob Rasmussen has been appointed as Technical Director – Denmark. Based at the firm’s Copenhagen office he is responsible for delivering all Verdion’s projects in the country, including E20 Park Copenhagen and iPark Copenhagen. Previously a Director with DS Flexhal A/S and Business Development Manager with Rizzani de Eccher S.p.A, he has worked across Denmark and Sweden with responsibility for delivering major turnkey production facilities with a focus on energy efficiency and security. As well as holding B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Jacob has Postgraduate Diploma from Copenhagen Business School and an Executive MBA from Technical University of Denmark-Business (DTU-B).

Mani Hemmaty joins Verdion as Technical Director – Sweden. Previously Head of Operations for Sweden, then Norway, Denmark and Finland, with Logistics Contractor he has extensive experience of delivering major projects for developers, third party logistics providers and occupiers including DSV, DHL, Tata, Lidl and ICA. He will be based at the firm’s Gothenburg office and is responsible for the construction of Verdion’s projects in Sweden, including new speculative development in Rosersberg north of Stockholm.

These appointments follow additions to Verdion’s technical team in Germany earlier this year, with Alptug Taskin joining as Senior Technical Project Manager with responsibility for all technical areas of the company’s VELF1 fund in the country and Giancarlo Ciccotelli joining as Technical Project Lead – Cost Management to head Verdion’s construction tender processes.

All four new hires report to Verdion’s Chief Technical Officer Peter Peeters. He said: “Delivering new logistics opportunities with speed and precision is a cornerstone of our business. On the ground, that means highly experienced individuals with strong local networks and specific logistics technical know-how. In these new hires we have first-rate additions to the team who will be instrumental in executing our growing Nordics pipeline.”
