Verdion has announced two new appointments, strengthening its finance team as its pipeline and portfolio increases.

Mario Zapouni joins Verdion as Financial Controller. He comes with a strong background in real estate development, previously as Finance Manager for leading developers EcoWorld International and Berkeley Group. He has also held roles in professional practice with Deloitte Real Consulting and BDO and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Max Goodwin joins the team in the role of Financial Accountant. He was previously at the accountancy and business advisory firm BDO, where he was a senior auditor working across a broad range of sectors including real estate and private equity, from LSE-listed businesses to start ups. Max is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Paul Clarke, Chief Financial Officer at Verdion, said: “With continuing growth in our development pipeline and assets under management, we are strengthening our finance expertise. Ensuring that the financial side of the business is well-resourced by a focussed team who understand real estate is essential to providing proactive financial management for our investors, as well as supporting our development and asset management teams.”

“Mario and Max are great additions to the business. Their combined skills and experience, alongside our existing expertise, means we will remain very well placed to deliver long-term value to our investors.”
