Logistics property investor and developer Verdion is expanding its team in Germany and moving to prestigious new offices at the Dusseldorf Airport City business park.
Verdion’s existing Dusseldorf office was opened in April 2012, headed by Country Manager (Germany) Andre Banschus. Andre and his team will be joined by: Chief Technical Officer, Peter Peeters; Technical Director Germany, Marc Haverkamp and; Project Assistant Anieke Thomassen.
The new office meets the needs of the Company’s continued growth and the necessary up-scaling of executive staff and resources. Verdion will close its Vienna office as the company expands its principal activities in core Central and Western European markets.

While Vienna suited us strategically at the start of the business, it now makes absolute sense to focus our mainland European operational base in Germany.”
Verdion is currently developing approximately 5 million sq ft (464,500 sq m) of high-quality logistics warehousing across Germany, Verdion is also working in Scandinavia with a 161,400 sq ft (15,000 sq m) project being developed in Denmark for one of the world’s largest 3PLs.
Michael adds: “We are continuing to look for further opportunities to acquire strategic land and develop high quality logistics facilities in core European markets, principally the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. Our attention to technical excellence makes us the ideal development and investor partner for e-tailers, retailers, large-scale manufacturers and the 3PLs that serve these core clients.”
John Clements, European Development Director, previously based in Vienna has moved to Verdion’s HQ office in London where he will be focussing on iPort, Verdion’s £400 million Strategic Rail Freight Interchange development in Doncaster, Yorkshire.
Verdion has also expanded its pan- European team with the appointment Ulrike Klein as Executive Assistant to CEO Michael Hughes.
