Verdion, the specialist logistics property investor and developer, has secured a 17 acre (7 hectare) strategic site in Malmö, Sweden for a new 377,000 sq ft (35,000 sq m) logistics and light manufacturing development.
Michael Hughes, CEO of Verdion, says: “The Nordic Region is an attractive location for investment in logistics property and we are really pleased to have secured this strategic land.”
Named ‘Verdion Logistics Park, Malmö’, the development site is located just outside Malmö City in the heart of the Øresund region.
John Clements, Verdion’s European Development Director, comments: “The position is ideal for users of Malmö Port, which is just 9 miles (15km) from the site, and businesses wishing to serve the cities of Malmö and Copenhagen who want a low cost but well-connected location.”
Verdion Logistics Park, Malmö is located just outside Malmö City on the edge of the town of Staffanstorp at a junction of Highway 11, which provides a direct connection to Malmö and Copenhagen, as well as other Swedish and European cities. The site itself is accessed directly from the main road leading off Highway 11 to the town of Staffanstorp. Public transport connections in the area are also good with a bus stop located just 50m from the park.
Clements continues: “The site is capable of accommodating over 377,000 sq ft (35,000 sq m) of modern logistics space, either as several units or one large building. The site is already zoned for logistics warehouse use, therefore units can be delivered in under nine months on competitive terms.”
